A24 is an American independent entertainment company founded on August 20, 2012,[3] by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel, and John Hodges and based in New York City. It specializes in film distribution, and film and television production.

Katz, Fenkel and Hodges prior to A24 worked in film and production, before leaving to eventually co-found the company, originally A24 Films, which specialized in film distribution. Starting off moderately in 2013 with A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III, the company’s growth started with the release of Spring Breakers later that year. They became better-known after picking up the U.S. rights to Ex Machina and Room, and worldwide rights to The Witch, growing substantially since then. They entered into deals with DirecTV Cinema and Amazon Prime in late 2013, with some films distributed through them, and the name was shortened to A24 in 2016.

As of 2018, the company has received a total of twenty-four Academy Award nominations. In 2016, films distributed by A24 won Academy Awards for Best Actress (Brie Larson in Room), Best Documentary Feature (Amy), and Best Visual Effects (Ex Machina). In 2017,[4] Moonlight won the Academy Award for Best Picture (the first such award for the company), Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor (Mahershala Ali). 영화 배급사란, 영화를 영화관에 걸기 위해 마케팅을 하거나, 영화 개봉 이후의 2차 판매 등을 위한 판권 관리 등 영화 유통 전반에 관계하는 회사이며. 보통 배급사로 줄여 부른다.

영화 컨텐츠 산업이라는게 기획-투자-제작 또는 영화 수입 단계를 거쳐서 영화 배급사를 통해 유통계약이 된 이후 영화관에 개봉하고 2차 판권 시장으로 넘어가는 구조이고. 기획-투자-제작은 영화 제작사가 맡게 되며, 영화 수입은 영화 수입사가 존재하고 영화 배급사에 유통관리계약을 하고 극장에 넘기게 된다

한국의 4대 메이저 영화 배급사인 CJ엔터테인먼트, 롯데엔터테인먼트, 넥스트엔터테인먼트월드, 쇼박스는 기획-투자-제작, 수입, 배급을 전부 한번에 담당하며, 중소 영화 배급사들은 제작사/수입사와 배급사가 분리되어 있는 경우가 많다.

오늘은 영화의 배급사를 씨부려보겠다. 영화의 판권과 사고 팔고에 있어서 배급사는 매우 중요하다. 그리고 개인적으로 상당히 나의 성격과 맞고 좋아하는 헐리웃 배급사를 소개하겠다. A24 배급사의 영화목록들을 보면 영화들의 색깔이 전체적으로 판단가늠하기도 하고. 배급사의 성격이 보이기도 한다. 무엇보다 배급사의 영향력을 느낄수 있다. 영화 유전을 보며 갑자기 생각이 난 헐리웃 독립영화? 배급사 A24!!!!!!!!!!!! A24는 이탈리아 고속도로 지명이다. 여기서 배급한 영화들은 오컬트 요소적인 영화가 많기도 하지만 A24는 상당히 영화를 보는 눈이 남다르고 영화를 선택하기에 아주 좋은 선구안을 가지고 있다. 그리고 의식있는 영화들과 다큐멘터리를 배급하고 있다. 그래서 내가 좋아한다. 난 영화를 보기전 배급사를 일일히 따지는 버릇이 생겨버렸다. 당신이 좋은 영화를 보기 원한다면 시간내어 배급사 A24의 영화들을 찾아 보는것을 강력 추천한다.

그닥 네이버 평점을 신용할수 없다. 그래서 로튼 토마토의 평점을 좋아한다. 막말로 있어보이니깐

참고로 난 그닥 친절하지 않다. 영화를 소개하는것에 있어서 말이다. 굳이 네이버 영화를 기준으로 하고 싶지않다. 좀더 객관성과 공정성을 가지고 접근하기엔 로튼토마토 지수가 나을지도 ^^ 만약 한국어 정보를 원하면 네이버나 구글에서 직접 검색을 하는것이 오히려 도움이 되리라 생각한다. 특히 네이버는 이런 영화를 친절하게 소개해주는 사람들이 많이 없더라. 그래서 차라리 직접 구글에서 검색을 하는것이 바람직하다고 느낀다.

며칠전 보았던 한국어 제목의 "유전hereditary" 공포는 이런것이다!!!! 상당히 신선하다. 창의적이다!!!

오래전부터 사용중인 나의 전문 영화, 피플 데이터베이스 프로그램이다. 언제부터인가 자료를 정리, 수집하는것을 좋아하게 되어 6년을 사용해온 프로그램이다. 물론 유료이다. 상당히 비싼감이 든다 (한화로 6~7만원정도) 헐 하고 내입에서 나와버린 감탄사? 물론 처음은 무료이다. 그러나 제한이 되어 있어서, 후에는 결국 프리미엄으로 결제를 해버렸다. 물론 나름 머리를 굴려 제한이 풀린것을 구해서 사용해보았으나. 백업을 하면 버전간의 호환이 잘 안되는것 같아서 불안불안해서 결국 결제를 해버렸다. 나같은 영화중독자나 광적이거나 영화쪽에 일을 하다보면 결국 지르게 될지도 …..

오래전부터 영화 데이터베이스 프로그램은 없을까 하고 구글링을 하다 여러사이트를 돌아다니며 이것저것 사용해보았고, 무료와 유료와의 차이점과 내가 필요한 부분은 무엇이 있을까 하고 1년 넘게 고민해오다가 결국 https://www.movienizer.com/ko/ 한국어페이지 (Movienizer)라는 프로그램을 사용하기에 이르렀다. 그전에는 https://www.collectorz.com/ (Movie Collector) 라는 프로그램을 사용했었는데, 피플(인명 데이터베이스) 가 없어서 결국 Movienizer 선택하였다. 영문사이트 링크이다 https://www.movienizer.com/

참고로 무비콜렉터는 모바일버전도 있고 상당히 잘되어 있다. 가격도 싼편이지만, 이상하게 나에게 맞지 않더라 ^^ 아 하나 더 붙이자면 무비콜렉터는 한글버전이 있다. 언어선택에 한국어를 선택하면 한국어로 프로그램을 사용할수 있다.

그러나 내가 선택한 Movienizer 는 언어선택에 있어서 한국어가 없는 단점 ….그러나 조금만 영어가능하다면, 조금만 마우스를 움직이다 보면 적응이 될것이다

일단 간단요약하게 Movienizer 를 소개하겠다.

모든 영화나 인명의 데이터베이스 자료와 스크립터는 가장 유명한 전문채널 사이트인 https://www.imdb.com/ imdb 사이트에서 드르륵 자동으로 긁어온다. 메뉴에서 add movie를 누르면 밑에 사진처럼 창이 나온다.

그리고 원하는 제목을 넣고 NEXT 누르면 

드르륵 드르륵 모아서 가지고 온다. 그리고 원하는 영화를 선택하면 끝 

그리고 밑에 사진처럼 각 항목에 자료를 수동으로 추가할수 있다. 

밑에 사진들은 내가 정리한것을 간단하게 캡쳐하였다. 

영화 데이터베이스를 모으기를 원하고 취미삼아 해보고 싶다면 추천하고 싶다.

무료로 사용가능하니 무비콜렉터나 무비즈나 사용해보고 선택하기를 바란다

네이버나 다음, 한국어 포털에서는 없다. 구글링해서 영어로 검색을 하면 대충 검색가능할것이다.

밑에 영상은 유투브에서 잠깐 사용하며 간단 메뉴얼이다. 물론 영어다 그러나 겁먹지 말도록

한달전 영상편집 의뢰가 들어왔다. 기간은 6개월안에 마무리해야 하는 단편영화였다.

미루고 미루고 미루다 며칠전 슬슬 몸을 풀어볼까 하고 새벽에 컴을 켜고 커피한잔과 내가 젤 아끼는 클래식 라디오(싯가 12만원, 이건 허세가 아니라. 아마존에서 공수한 물건) 기기의 주파수 맞추는데 진추하의 음악이 나오더라. 암만 기술이 발전해도 라디오의 음악은 주파수 찾으며 듣는 불협화음의 지지직 소리와 함께 시그널을 찾는게 매력이다. 불협화음속에 진추하의 목소리가 잡혔을때 갑자기 온몸에 전기기 삐리리….

다음날 항상 메모하는 습관이 있기에 진추하에 관하여 엄청 알아보았다. 사실 진추하는 누구나 안다. 누구나? ㅋㅋ

그러나 단지 one summer night 만 알뿐, 그녀의 낭만의 시대를 모른다. 그래서 나는 그녀를 알 필요가 있다

태생은 홍콩 1957년 11월 12일생

가난한 가정의 1남 2녀 중 막내로 태어난 그녀는 피아노를 배우고 싶어했으나 가난한 집안 형편 때문에 피아노를 배울 수 없게 되자 영국인 부부를 찾아가 무료로 피아노를 배웠다고 한다. 학창시절부터 노래는 물론 연기도 좋아해서 친구들을 모아 연극을 했으며 연기는 물론 연출까지 도맡았다고 한다.

그녀는 어린 시절부터 노래와 피아노 연주, 작곡과 연기에 재능을 보였으며 싱어송라이터로서의 재능 역시도 일찌감치 드러냈었다. 1974년 홍콩 유행창작 가요제에 자신의 자작곡 Dark Side of Your Mind로 출전해서 최우수 가창상, 최우수 작곡상을 수상하였으며 이때의 센세이셔널한 데뷔로 인해 천재옥녀란 별칭을 얻게 되기도 했다. 가요제 수상곡 Dark Side of Your Mind은 물론이요 영화에 수록되어 인기를 끌었던 노래, 예를 들어 One Summer Night 같은 명곡들도 직접 작곡하며 음악적 재능을 발휘 

1976년 한국 허리우드 극장에서 개봉했던 영화 사랑의 스잔나에 출연하여 큰 인기를 끌었으며 사랑의 스잔나는 76년 한국합작 영화 흥행 1위를 차지하였다. 영화의 수록곡인 Graduation Tears와 One Summer Night도 큰 인기를 끌었다. 77년에는 추하 내사랑이라는 영화에 출연하여 인기를 이어갔다. 이 영화들은 홍콩의 골든 하베스트와 한국의 동아흥행(동아수출공사)이 함께 만든 한홍합작 영화로 제작되었으며 영화 배경 곳곳에 한국 풍경이 등장
